Membrane electrode assembly is the core part of proton
exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). However, the high
consumption of platinum and poor durability of carbon supported
platinum nanoparticles (Pt/C) in the conventional cathode prohibit
the large-scale commercialization of fuel cell
vehicles.
