Altering the properties of 2-D materials at the nanometer
scale

EPFL scientists have developed a method for changing
the physical properties of 2-D materials permanently using a
nanometric tip. Their approach, which involves deforming the
materials, paves the way to using these materials in electronic and
optoelectronic devices.
